Hospitality execution
The model room is a decision record—not just a finished room.
The value of a model room depends on whether its approved details are captured clearly enough to repeat across guestrooms, variants, suites, and field conditions.
Approval does not automatically become production data.
A room may look approved while critical release information remains scattered across shop drawings, emails, markups, meeting notes, site conversations, and sample comments.
Before production, the team needs one reconciled record of what changed, what remained, what applies to each room type, and what still depends on field verification.
Capture
Record the approved construction.
Fabric, fullness, lining, seams, hems, returns, overlap, stack, hardware, finish, controls, floor clearance, and visible alignment.
Translate
Map the model to room types and variants.
Separate true repeats from mirrored conditions, corner glass, accessible rooms, soffit changes, and suite-specific layouts.
Verify
Hold what depends on the field.
Opening dimensions, pocket size, blocking, power, wall build-up, finish elevations, and site readiness may still require confirmation.
A release package should answer six questions.
- What exactly was approved?
- Which room types and quantities use it?
- What changes by condition?
- Which dimensions are design values and which are verified field values?
- Who owns unresolved interfaces?
- What is the controlled basis for fabrication and installation?
