Hospitality · DFW Airport, Texas

A custom shade solution shaped around the glass.

Guestrooms, suites, meeting rooms, and public areas required more than standard window-treatment layouts: synchronized shades, controlled shade breaks, corner infill, stationary sheer ends, and motorized sheer and blackout systems.

Approach

Field verification + custom coordination

Custom coordination

Fewer breaks. Synchronized movement. Better resolution at the corners.

The public-area design called for field decisions that could not be finalized from plans alone. Long glass walls, doors opening to the pool deck, small corner windows, and changing room configurations all affected how the treatments needed to operate.

Tri-Tex worked through the conditions with the design and project teams: center-draw drapery stacking into the corners, grouped roller shades synchronized to move together, longer end shades to cover irregular corner glass, and stationary sheer ends with measured returns.

Motorization + continuity

A technical installation backed by ongoing service.

Motorized Somfy sheer and blackout drapery supported event-level spaces, while guestroom and suite work expanded the property-wide scope. Later service requests—including motor and shade-band replacements—show the continuity required to keep sophisticated systems operating in a high-occupancy airport hotel.
